Guard Rails

There are several types of guardrail, but here are some of the most common:

  1. W-beam (standard guardrail)
  2. Box-beam
  3. Common attenuators: ET-2000, SRT-250, and SRT-350

Common billing issues with guardrail claims:

  • Frequently more sections than necessary are replaced.  This could be upwards of several thousand feet of upgrades
  • Upgrades such as a newer style of guardrail or rustic post often occur
  • Depreciation is not always applied
  • Labor rates, overhead, number of workers on scene, and contractor costs are all frequent areas of wrongful overcharges
