Guard Rails
There are several types of guardrail, but here are some of the most common:
- W-beam (standard guardrail)
- Box-beam
- Common attenuators: ET-2000, SRT-250, and SRT-350
Common billing issues with guardrail claims:
- Frequently more sections than necessary are replaced. This could be upwards of several thousand feet of upgrades
- Upgrades such as a newer style of guardrail or rustic post often occur
- Depreciation is not always applied
- Labor rates, overhead, number of workers on scene, and contractor costs are all frequent areas of wrongful overcharges
